About the Role

Your Team Responsibilities

The Instrument Data Management (IDM) organization is responsible for providing data content and services for MSCI tools that fuels investment decisions. Our services focus on working with the multiple business units on the production and development of input data used for product generation. In addition, we provide support to our sales team, consultants and client relations teams with client inquiries on content.

Your Key Responsibilities

The Equity Instrument Data Intern will support the daily operation, ensuring the highest level of quality for a diverse data set of attributes. Interns are also expected to contribute to projects supporting IDM initiatives to re-build and enhance many of the core data content.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Quality assurance of equity market and reference data
  • Monitor workflow processes and resolve issues with urgency as they arise
  • Identify, investigate and resolve data discrepancies and ensure they do not recur
  • Variance analysis of data attributes with various vendor sources
  • Research corporate events and assets as it pertains to MSCI methodology
  • Update and conduct extensive quality assurance to our financial database
  • Work in partnership with local and global teams to enhance and improve client experience
  • Support project initiatives to enhance and automate operational processes, including the use of AI tools and technologies

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Skills:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent
  • English verbal and written (additional language skills a plus)
  • Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, AI tools or other programming languages is preferred
