Position Overview

This full-time internship in the Summer of 2026 offers the opportunity to gain experience at Albaugh’s manufacturing facility in St. Joseph, Mo. This role will have an emphasis on assisting in quality testing and analysis of materials and products. This is an excellent opportunity for the practical application of lab coursework in preparation for a career in Chemistry or Biology or related field.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine laboratory experiments, tests, and procedures
  • Prepare samples, reagents, and laboratory materials
  • Operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment under supervision
  • Record, organize, and analyze experimental data accurately
  • Follow laboratory safety protocols and regulatory guidelines (e.g., OSHA, GLP)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab workspaces
  • Support senior staff with research projects or quality testing tasks
  • Desire to learn about production and manufacturing operations

The Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze data.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
