About the Role

GE's internships provide a unique chance to engage in hands-on, challenging projects, learn from some of the brightest minds in the industry, and network with a diverse group of skilled professionals. GE’s power equipment, responsible for generating one-third of the world's electricity, is at the forefront of transforming how electricity is produced to be more sustainable, affordable, and reliable. This internship role offers a valuable opportunity to gain industrial experience in product familiarization, outage planning, services, and maintenance of GE's advanced gas turbine engine components. Interns will gain insight into daily outage planning, execution, and the commercial management of long-term service agreements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the scope of work within Service Operations and outage planning.
  • Gain expertise in gas power plants and turbines.
  • Assist in validating part order numbers; learn the processes for OSIP orders, advance releases, and part chasing; provide updates on part statuses and offer transactional support as needed.
  • Support Customer Portfolio Managers (CPMs) with daily execution requirements and customer communications.
  • Participate in or assist with on-site execution to gain firsthand knowledge of gas turbine operations and outage execution processes.

Requirement:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program in Engineering.
  • Able to work at the office at least three days per week during the internship.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrates inclusivity, creativity, and the courage to drive change.
  • GPA of 3.0 and above
  • Can commit for 5-6 Months

As GE Vernova is a global organization, working across different time zones, and monitoring, reading and responding to contact outside normal working hours can be expected.
