About the Role

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Residential Selections Intern will provide administrative and creative support to the Selections team at AVB. This role involves assisting with various tasks related to the selection process for residential projects, including data entry, scheduling, creating sample mood boards, and supporting client meetings.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support to the selections department, including data entry, scheduling, updating documentation, and managing sample inventory
  • Collaborate and create sample mood board presentations for showcase homes and/or design studio
  • Keep the design studio neat, organized, and stocked
  • Assist the selections team during client meetings
  • Assist with SketchUp renderings and electrical drawings
  • Set up model home presentations and attend marketing events, including the Parade of Homes
  • Perform general errands for the selections team
  • Ability to work some Sunday open houses and evenings

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year degree program in interior design or a related field
  • Experience with Sketch up, CAD, or other rending software is a plus
  • Experience with 2020 cabinet design software a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work environment described here represents what the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee regularly works in a well-lighted, temperature controlled, and smoke-free environment. The noise level is moderate and there is minimal risk of exposure to harmful substances.  This job is performed with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
