The PDS Health Summer Intern Program is a 10-week, on-site, full-time, paid internship that provides undergraduate students with invaluable insight and experience into the operation of a large multi-state employer. 

 

The primary function of the Project Optimization Intern is to support both De Novo (new office) projects and other strategic support initiatives in an effort to improve processes, systems, and analytics.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts research and gathers data for workflow management tools
  • Conducts discovery interviews as necessary
  • Performs process mapping
  • Creates reports to share pertinent information
  • Supports the department projects with process documentation
  • Attends department meetings
  • Collaborates with team members in assigned department to accomplish daily tasks and projects
  • Collaborates with other interns to accomplish completion of assigned group project
  • Maintains a professional appearance
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

 Qualifications:

  • Current or recent enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Business Administration, Business Analytics, or Mathematics
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Preferred experience with process automation and systems integration

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Project Management and related tools
  • Analytical Experience
  • Project Management Experience
  • Process Improvement Experience
  • Automation and Integration Experience
  • Familiar with Visio, Lucid or similar workflow process mapping applications
  • Familiar with AI

 Location: On-site at the Irvine Support Center in Irvine, CA.


Compensation Information


$17.30-$25.00 / Hourly
