Engineering Research & Development Intern - Summer 2026

Description

As a full time, paid R&D Intern at Gits Manufacturing, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the Engineering team to assist in project and design work.

• Support prototype builds and data recording in preparation for validation activities.
• Test and provide feedback (report) on engineering design tools.
• Learn and Assist in 3D modeling and print creation for concepts and test articles.
• Monitor and document testing.
• Design process control documentation.
• Assist in engineering tool creation and process mapping.

Requirements

• A student of Junior or Senior academic standing, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn and be part of a collaborative team
• Upholds organizational values and integrity
• Ability to handle confidential materials with discretion and accuracy.
• Willing to be located onsite at GITs Manufacturing in Urbandale, IA
