About the Role

Position: Lincoln Center Intern 

Department: Guest Experience  

Program Overview: The Lincoln Center Summer Internship is a paid, 10-week, in-person arts administration internship for NYC undergraduate students passionate about the performing arts. This program cultivates the next generation of leaders in the field by providing on-the-job experience and professional development opportunities.  

The Guest Experience intern will have a strong understanding of the Guest Experience team's core functions and how it connects and collaborates with Lincoln Center broadly. The intern will be acclimated to the different Guest Experience department’s ongoing tasks, operations, long-term projects and initiatives.

  • Conversation Series that features leaders from across the sector and program Alumni
  • Special Events that make Lincoln Center the world’s leading performing arts center   

What you’ll get to do: 

  • Learn unique insights into the various operations of the Guest Experience team, ranging from both front of house performance operations management, to non-performance customer service and administrative duties. 
  • Assisting and contributing to creating a positive and memorable guest experience
  • Work closely with our House Managers and Coordinators that facilitate the Summer for the City concert series, learning the ins and outs of performance management and working on site with guests.
  • Work with our administrative team learning about our non-performance customer service operations and initiatives.  

You’ll be a great fit if: 

  • You are a rising college junior, or senior, or equivalent 
  • You are based in New York City or the Greater New York region 
  • You are available 30-35 hours/week from Late May or June 2026 – August 2026
    1. Availability for a start date on May 27th preferred; latest available start date June 2nd  
  • You have flexible availability for weekends and evenings, prioritizing evenings Wednesday through Sunday
  • You have database management experience
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You have strong customer service and organizational skills
  • You have computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.
  • You have any experience in the following: 
    1. House management or front of house experience 
    2. Have project management and customer service skills
  • Are passionate about the arts and working with the public
  • You identify as both a self-starter and a dynamic team player 
  • You exemplify leadership, teamwork, organization, innovation, resilience, inclusivity, and enthusiasm
