Position Summary

We are a leading real time operating system provider for the embedded marketplace. Our operating system is used extensively in a wide range of embedded systems including automotive telematics for cars, handheld devices, tablets and other products found in the medical, industrial automation, point of sale, and networking markets, to name a few. To address these fast-growing markets, we have several co-op positions in Ottawa available within our R&D and Engineering Services departments for students who are interested in embedded software development. What you will do

  • Support customer activities through direct interaction with customer engineering

  • Reproduce complex issues on reference and customer provided HW

  • Instrument and debug QNX reference code

Who we are looking for

  • Currently pursuing post-secondary education in a related field

  • Knowledge of UNIX style OS’s (BSD, Linux)

  • Strong C language skills

  • Customer relation/interaction skills

Above and beyond

  • Familiarity with Eclipse based tools is an asset

  • Previous experience with GCC tools set and GDB debugging is an asset

Compensation Hiring Base Salary Range:

$43,472.00 - $59,280.00

 

Please be advised that the compensation hiring range indicated herein is provided solely as a good-faith estimate of anticipated base compensation for the position. The actual base compensation offered will be determined at the time of hire and will depend on several factors, including but not limited to the student’s completed academic coursework, prior co-op work terms, relevant practical experience, demonstrated skills, and performance in any required evaluations during the hiring process.
