Job Description:

Parsons is now accepting applications for our Summer 2026 Bridge Internship program with our Centreville, Virginia team! In this program, you will enhance your engineering technical skills and knowledge through direct mentorship and collaboration with a world-class team of infrastructure design experts.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Developing creative and innovative solutions for complex bridge engineering challenges, selecting the most efficient and cost-effective methods to achieve objectives.
• Ensuring designs comply with Federal, State, and local agency requirements, as well as accepted industry practices and procedures.
• Preparing specifications, estimates, quantity calculations, technical reports, and detailed engineering analyses.
• Reviewing supplier drawing submittals and conducting technical bid analyses.
• Preparing and issuing specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
• Contributing as part of a project or organizational team, or serving as a design engineer for intermediate to large-scale projects.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Completion of prior coursework in transportation or structural engineering (specifically steel and concrete-focused courses)
• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Interest in and ability to work on multiple bridge or roadway projects simultaneously.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools, CAD software (MicroStation preferred), and a solid understanding of industry standards and applicable engineering software.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• Prior internship experience.

Salary Range: $21.88 - $38.27
