This role is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental principles of Network Strategy at Cloudflare, with a focus on developing the skills necessary for long-term growth within the team. The intern will support key initiatives by executing on special projects designed to advance and improve operational efficiency. They will also provide essential day-to-day operational support to our Interconnection Managers and Network Acquisition Managers.</p> <h4><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h4> <ul> <li><strong>Special Project Execution:</strong> Assist in the execution of special projects focused on advancing and improving the Network Strategy team's operational processes.</li> <li><strong>Interconnection Operational Support:</strong> Provide direct operational support to Interconnection Managers, helping to manage and track key peering and transit relationships.</li> <li><strong>Network Acquisition Assistance:</strong> Support Network Acquisition Managers with administrative and logistical tasks related to acquiring new network capacity and infrastructure.</li> <li><strong>Strategic Data Analysis and Research:</strong> Conduct data analysis and research to inform strategic decisions related to network growth, performance, and cost efficiency.</li> <li><strong>Documentation and Internal Reporting:</strong> Contribute to internal documentation and reporting, ensuring clarity and accuracy of information shared across the team.</li> <li><strong>KPI Tracking and Progress Reporting:</strong> Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for ongoing projects and report progress to relevant stakeholders.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Role Requirements (Must-Have Skills):</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative, analytical, or strategic field (e.g., Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent).</li> <li>Available for a full-time 12-week internship, working from the Singapore office 3-5 days a week during the summer months (May-August).</li> <li>Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex ideas clearly and concisely.</li> <li>Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., Google Sheets/Excel, or basic SQL/Python is a plus).</li> <li>Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, global team environment.</li> <li>Proven capacity for taking initiative, owning tasks, and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice-to-Have Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>A basic understanding of the Internet ecosystem, including concepts like IP networking, peering, transit, and data centers.</li> <li>Prior experience or coursework related to telecommunications, network infrastructure, or technology strategy.</li> <li>Familiarity with project management principles or tools</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>What Makes Cloudflare Special?</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We’re not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company.
