Learning Outcomes:
Mechanical Discipline -
An internship in this discipline will give you an overview and understanding on the demands and scope of a mechanical engineering consultant. You will be involved in Beca projects by assisting our engineers in carrying out Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) and other associated mechanical services design works and accredited checking works.

Electrical Discipline -
An internship in this discipline will give you an overview and understanding of the demands and scope of an electrical engineering consultant. You will be involved in Beca projects by assisting our engineers in carrying out electrical and associated ELV services design works and accredited checking works.

Job Scope
The job scope of the intern includes:

• Assist in the preparation and documentation of mechanical & electrical engineering works for building projects

• Assist in the coordination, checking and updating of design drawings and modelling

• Assist in the preparation and review of proposals and technical progress reports

• Assist in job control, planning, monitoring, progress and job cost reporting

• Provide support in the preparation, review and compilation of documents for project tenders and job submissions

Your day-to-day work could include interacting with industry specialists and experts, or engaging in team-oriented feasibility work. Whatever the area of focus, you will gain a thorough understanding of what's involved in a project and how the various disciplines work together, while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a professional setting.
