We do this by collaboratively leveraging our combined expertise in Protein Engineering & Production, Structural Biology, and Next Generation Therapeutics. This allows us to design, generate and characterize superior proteins and therapeutic molecules of ever-increasing complexity, thereby providing a competitive advantage to gRED.</span></span></span></p><p><span><span> </span></span></p><p><span><span><span>This internship position is located in</span><b><span> South San Francisco, on-site.</span></b></span><span><b><span> </span></b><span> </span></span></span></p><p><span><b><span> </span></b></span></p><p><span><span><b><span>The Opportunity</span></b></span></span></p><ul><li><p><span><span><span>We are seeking a motivated intern to contribute to a high-priority project within our Bioengineering group. </span></span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>T</span></span></span><span><span><span>his role focuses on the intersection of molecular tool development and advanced cell engineering.</span></span></span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span><span><b><span>Key Responsibilities:</span></b></span></span></p><ul><li><p><span><span><span>Molecular Engineering: Support the design and preparation of engineered proteins encoded by nucleic acid templates for targeted genomic integration.</span></span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>Analytical Characterization: Utilize biochemical and biophysical assays to ensure the quality and structural integrity of molecular components.</span></span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>Cellular Engineering: Assist in the cultivation and engineering of primary mammalian cells using state-of-the-art delivery platforms and gene-editing technologies.</span></span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>Biological Assessment: Perform molecular and cellular assays (including qPCR and flow cytometry) to evaluate cellular responses and engineering efficiency.</span></span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>Data Synthesis: Analyze and present complex datasets to cross-functional teams to drive project decisions.</span></span></span></p></li></ul><p><span><b><span> </span></b></span></p><p><span><span><b><span>Program Highlights</span></b></span></span></p><ul><li><p><b><span><span><span>Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.</span></span></span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span><span><span>Program start dates are in May/June 2026.</span></span></span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span><span><span>A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.</span></span></span></b></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.</span></span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.</span></span></span></p></li></ul><p><span><b><span> </span></b></span></p><p><span><span><b><span>Who You Are </span></b></span></span></p><p><span><b><span> </span></b></span></p><p><b><span><span><span>Required Education</span></span></span></b></p><p></p><p><b><b>You meet one of the following criteria:</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span><span><span>Must have recently attained a Master's Degree with thesis.</span></span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student).</span></span></span></p></li></ul><p><span><span> </span></span></p><p><span><span><span><b>Required Majors:</b> Molecular/Cellular Biology, Bioengineering, Immunology, Protein Engineering, or a related experimental discipline.</span></span></span></p><p><span><span> </span></span></p><p><b><span><span><span>Required Skills:</span></span></span></b></p><ul><li><p><span><span><span>Expertise in wet-lab skills including but not limited to molecular cloning, mammalian cell culture, gene editing, cell engineering, flow cytometry, data analysis.</span></span></span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span><span><span>Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:</span></span></span></b></p><ul><li><p><span><span><span>Experience and/or successful coursework in molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, and gene-editing workflows is a strong plus.</span></span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.</span></span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>Complements our culture and the standards that guide our daily behavior & decisions: Integrity, Courage, and Passion.</span></span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>Motivated, collaborative, self-directed individual who is excited about developing new cell based therapeutics in an industry setting.</span></span></span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. </b></b></p><p></p><p><span>The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $40.00-$46.00 hour.
