We are looking for an Intern, to join Operations mainly focus on Collateral Management in Nordea Asset Management, who is structured, self-driven and analytical. This is an opportunity for you to grow while working with a wide variety of challenging tasks and to build a network across many different areas in Nordea Asset Management.    
Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is the centre of investment management in the Nordea Group and in the Asset & Wealth Management division. NAM is the largest asset manager in the Nordics with the vision of being a leading European Asset Manager. We want to do this by delivering returns with responsibility. We meet customer demands and guide our customers in the right direction in asset selection while ensuring prudent ESG practices. NAM has around 900 employees and more than 475 Nordic and international institutional clients. 

 

About this opportunity

 

You’ll join a team of 3 (1 in Copenhagen and 2 in Lisbon) and be a central part of the Asset Management value chain under Operations & Technology. Nordea Asset Management is responsible for all actively managed investment products in Nordea and handles the development, implementation, the daily production and the support and management of our product offering, including the operation and management of the fund companies. The role is based in Quinta da Fonte, Oeiras.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking care of our daily operational tasks covering issues such as reconciliation, investigations and payments.
  • On a daily basis interact with counterparties, clearing brokers and other internal- and external business units. 
  • You will take part in developing new and better control routines.

To do well in this role, we believe that you are/have:

  • Efficient work standards and an ability to deliver high quality even under tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English (writen and spoken) is mandatory.
  • finished a Bachelor's/Master's level education within finance, engineering or mathematics. 
  • Structured as the work covers both daily routines, ad hoc issues and longer projects.
  • Knowledge about derivatives is preferential, but not a requirement, as we will train you.
