Internship Program Overview:  

Our Interns are our talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Project Title:

Industrial Engineering Productivity Study through Data Analysis, Streamlining of Business Processes and Reports Automation

Project Objective:

Wafer fabrication in foundry is the fundamental of all electronics appliances in the semiconductor supply chain. Productivity study is critical since it is important to obtain optimal wafer output during the manufacturing processes. This can be fulfilled with Industrial Engineering's data analysis, streamlining of business processes and reports automation.

Project Outcome:

1) To be able to demonstrate analytical skills in data analysis - Throughput analysis to ensure plan parameter are in line with actual performance & assess improvement opportunity.
2) To learn how to apply automation methodology to enhance efficiency. Learn about the algorithms and formulas used in semiconductor manufacturing.
3) To gain experience in Industrial Engineering department.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Automate and streamline various business processes like factory data extraction, preparation, analysis & reporting

  • Establish mathematical models to capture, predict and manage tool performance of different tool types

  • Prepare and conduct an audit to ensure compliance with industry standards

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs. 

Required Qualifications:

Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science & Engineering or any other related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in MS-Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI, SQL)

*This application is for students undertaking a 20-24 week credit-bearing internship from June 2026 onwards.
