About the Role

Work environment

Volkswagen develops and produces key components of electric vehicles in-house and is establishing new expertise and production sites worldwide. At the same time, we collaborate with the world’s leading suppliers at both Group and brand level to build the best possible car for our customers. The battery holds special significance for us—from the cell level to the complete system. At the Center of Excellence for E-Mobility in Braunschweig, battery systems for electric and hybrid vehicles are developed and manufactured for the entire Volkswagen Group. This includes not only the design and development of high-voltage battery systems, but also the development of electronics and software for the overall system. The “Testing and Validation” division ensures compliance with our strict requirements for functionality, robustness, and safety across all functions, projects, and organizations involved in battery development—through intensive testing procedures.
