About the Role

 

Job Summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Financial Intern to support key reporting, analysis, and operational goals within the Electronics Finance sub-group.  This is a 9 week paid internship program designed to provide valuable insights into the manufacturing industry, provide foundational business knowledge, and prepare you for a successful career.  You will work closely with experienced professionals where you’ll gain high visibilty contributing to projects and daily tasks that impact the business. Must be available to work onsite in our Lake Forest office 3 days a week for our hybrid schedule – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Will be remote Mondays and Fridays.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • (50%) Team Collaboration and Ad Hoc Support: Provide data and analysis for cost management and special projects, working closely with finance team members to execute assigned tasks.
  • (30%) Support Core Financial Processes: Assist with monthly/quarterly finance cycles utilizing Power BI, Salesforce, Essbase and Excel modeling.
  • (20%) Reporting and Analysis: Perform research and analysis to aid margin reporting and understand customer programming.

 

Education and Experience Profile

  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program specializing in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related major with an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
  • Demonstrated strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.5 (preferred)
  • Must be available to work full-time for 9 weeks during the summer of 2026
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to HHI Headquarters located in Lake Forest, CA
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be available to work full-time for 9 weeks during the summer of 2026
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic understanding of P&L components, including revenue, cost of goods sold, and operating margin.

 

Critical Skills

  • High level of professionalism and tact; able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Confidence to deal with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interest in developing financial analysis skills, including forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and business planning.

 

Work Environment:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Hybrid work in office 3 days/week.
