About the Role

 

Job Summary

Americas Residential, a division of ASSA ABLOY is seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Intern to work in our headquarter office in Lake Forest, CA. This role will offer you the opportunity to be a part of a global company and a market leader in faucets, fixtures and locks. This role is ideal for students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in forecasting, data analytics, inventory management, and cross-functional coordination within a dynamic supply chain environment.

As part of the Supply Chain team, you will work closely with planners, sourcing, operations, and logistics teams to ensure products are available to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels. Must be available to work onsite in our Lake Forest office 3 days a week for our hybrid schedule – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Will be remote Mondays and Fridays.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in gathering, cleaning, and analyzing historical sales data to support demand forecasting.
  • Help update and maintain demand planning models and forecasting tools.
  • Participate in weekly forecast review meetings and track forecast accuracy KPIs.
  • Identify trends, seasonality, and anomalies within demand data.
  • Support supply planners in evaluating inventory positions and supply requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring open purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand supply risks and constraints.
  • Help prepare supply planning reports, dashboards, and metrics.
  • Develop and maintain Excel- or Power BI–based trackers for demand, inventory, or planning metrics.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports used by planning leadership.

 

Education and Experience (add any additional bullets)

 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Industrial Engineering or related
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups); familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Interest in demand forecasting, supply planning, and data-driven decision making.

 

Work Environment

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Hybrid work in our Lake Forest Headquarter office at least 3 days/week.
