The Design Merchandising Intern position at Coty offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, both in size and complexity, providing a chance to apply and expand your knowledge in the field. The ideal candidate will choose this position to contribute to creative and operational initiatives at the heart of Coty’s world. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

As a Design Merchandising Intern, your primary focus is on visual creation and in-store presentation. You will be responsible for designing and executing visual materials for Coty products in-store and at events. This includes creating visual concepts, coordinating with marketing teams, and optimizing product presentation according to the company's strategic guidelines. You will also participate in trend analysis and adapting concepts to meet local market needs. 

Your main focus:  

• Create visual presentations for products: 

• Design displays for in-store materials. 

• Assist in preparing visual assets for product launches. 

• Ensure visuals are updated according to team guidelines. 

• Support merchandising projects: 

• Participate in the creation and implementation of merchandising concepts. 

• Assist in adapting guidelines for different types of retail environments. 

• Contribute to organizing and optimizing product display spaces. 

• Collaborate with the team: 

• Work closely with the merchandising team. 

• Track the progress of merchandising projects and communicate needs. 

• Assist in managing timelines and tracking ongoing projects. 

• Assist in project analysis: 

• Collect feedback on the impact of visual displays in-store. 

• Assist in preparing reports for merchandising activities. 

• Observe and suggest improvements for visual presentations. 

• Learn and grow: 

• Participate in training sessions to develop creative and technical skills. 

• Observe market trends and propose simple creative ideas. 

• Develop hands-on skills in design and merchandising on a daily basis.

The team is composed of a Director, 2 Managers, and a Project Manager. You will work closely with several departments, including marketing. You will be part of a supportive, respectful, inspiring, and motivating team.

• Have a strong sense of aesthetics and a passion for visual design.  

• Are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.  

• Have excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with different departments.  

• Are curious and attuned to market trends to propose innovative solutions.  

• Are proficient in design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-ray, Photoshop, Illustrator) and have an interest in in-store merchandising.
