Summer Internship 2026

What we are looking for:
The Communications team is seeking a new team member to support our commercial organization, helping shape content, social media and messaging across key business and product initiatives, with a focus on the launch of the all-new, fully electric EX60. At Volvo Cars, we focus on telling clear, human-centered stories that reflect our culture, values, and commitment to people – bringing our brand and products to life.

What you'll do

A day in the life:
•    Support day-to-day social media execution, including drafting, scheduling, and publishing content across Volvo Car USA channels
•    Assist in shaping messaging and communications, with a focus on the all-new, fully electric Volvo EX60 
•    Collaborate with Corporate & Stakeholder, Product & Technology, and Brand & Consumer Communications teams to ensure content is accurate, aligned, and on brand
•    Monitor social channels and performance and create reports as needed, helping identify trends, insights, and opportunities to refine storytelling
•    Help maintain content calendars, briefing documents, and asset organization to support timely delivery
•    Contribute to clear, human-centered storytelling that brings Volvo’s products and brand to life

What you'll bring

What you will bring to Volvo:
•    Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Media, or a related field
•    Strong communication skills and a clear interest in social media, storytelling, and digital content
•    A proactive, detail-oriented yet creative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
•    Familiarity with major social platforms and an eagerness to learn Volvo’s brand and products

You might also have:
•    Experience with creative or social media management tools (I.e., Adobe Creative Cloud, Khoros, Monday.com)
•    Experience with communications platforms (I.e., Bananatag / Staffbase, Campaign Monitor)
•    A strong personal interest in social media, storytelling, or digital content

SALARY & BENEFITS:
The hourly compensation for this internship is $22.00 per hour. The rate of pay offered is based on factors such as a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education, and overall alignment with organizational needs. Interns may also have access to a variety of Volvo resources designed to support early‑career development, including professional development opportunities, employee wellness programs, and exposure to teams across the organization.
