About the role:

As an Instrumentation and Control Engineering Intern, you will be part of a team that assists on a variety of projects to help new and existing nuclear power plants implement world-class nuclear instrumentation signal processing and control systems. You will work with experienced colleagues to develop new designs and help upgrade and refresh existing designs to the state-of-the-art in a growing field.

 

You will report to the Engineering Supervisor and be located at our New Stanton facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support engineering team for creating drawings and design/technical specifications Nuclear Instrumentation Systems
  • Compile technical documents / specifications for procurement/manufacturing
  • Support resolution of technical issues including obsolescence
  • Support supplier or manufacturing operations with technical issue resolution
  • Support creation of hardware design documentation such as cabinet layout drawings, cable/wiring schematics, and PCB layout/schematics
  • Support Test document creation and test execution

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • Knowledge of analog circuit analysis/design
  • Awareness of field devices and control devices typical to the power industry
  • Knowledge of lab equipment use (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator)

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
