About The Company
Quantum Machines envisions a new technological age. A time when quantum computing revolutionizes entire industries, solves global problems, and drives unprecedented innovation. That’s why we made it our mission to build the Quantum Orchestration Platform (QOP): the platform to realize the full potential of quantum computing technologies at any scale and deliver the most advanced quantum capabilities to quantum system developers. Built by a world-class multidisciplinary team of quantum scientists and engineers, the QOP powers quantum breakthroughs and accelerates the path towards the new age of quantum computing.
About the Role

he Israeli Quantum Computing Center (IQCC) is a cutting-edge national facility supporting quantum computing research and development for both academia and industry. The IQCC is managed and operated by Quantum Machines (QM), the global leader in quantum computing control systems. Our state-of-the-art lab includes advanced infrastructure with several dilution refrigerators and a wide array of quantum and classical devices.

The IQCC offers unique opportunities for talented PhD students seeking an internship opportunity at a world-class facility. We are looking for brilliant, versatile, and fast-learning interns with a strong can-do attitude to become a part of the core IQCC team, working on a quantum computer with 20+ superconducting qubits, assisting in its calibration, integration and assembly, through QM’s OPX1000 control platform. He/she will gain unique experience with the world’s top cryogenic systems and participate in cutting edge research projects with the leaders of industry and academia. The ideal candidate should have experience working with quantum systems and should be ready to move to Israel to work on-site in the IQCC for a period of 4-6 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the calibration and optimization of superconducting qubits chip
  • Participate in research projects that aim to develop new calibration protocols for faster and higher quality quantum gates
  • Gain a deep understanding of our state-of-the-art quantum control system
  • Assist in the day-to-day operation of the lab

Requirements

Requirements:

  • MSc in experimental physics or related field – must
  • Willingness to move to Israel for more than three months, preferably six months – must
  • Experience working with Quantum Machines’ OPX – advantage
  • Experience working with superconducting qubits – advantage
  • Experience working with cryogenic systems in a physics lab – advantage
  • More than one year into a PhD in experimental physics or related field – advantage
  • Great interpersonal skills
