About the Role

Do you have a strong passion for working with at-risk children and adolescents in the behavioral health field? If so, now is your opportunity to work with The CADD Conroy Summer Intensive Program.

The CADD Conroy Summer Intensive Treatment Program of Western Psychiatric Hospital is a behavioral health program designed to meet the unique behavioral health needs of at-risk children and adolescents. Therapeutic activities are used to increase adaptive and functional communication skills, strengthen peer socialization skills, and decrease maladaptive behaviors to improve a young person’s ability to function more successfully at home, school, and in the community.

This hire for this position will assist clinical staff in a summer intensive-treatment program serving children and adolescents with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders. The program operates from June 15th through August 7th, from 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM. The set rate for this position is $19.00 per hour. In addition to the listed qualifications, our ideal candidate must be able to work uninterrupted through the duration of the program (i.e.- no vacations, scheduled daytime summer courses, etc.). This position does not offer college credits. The dress code is casual and free street parking is available.

Responsibilities: 

·       Provide direct supervision and therapeutic interventions to children and adolescents.

·       Support children and adolescents in achieving their treatment goals, using encouragement, problem-solving, and behavior modification.

·       Co-lead individual and group activities

·       Consistently apply knowledge of crisis intervention and behavioral management

·       Intervene with students and families during crisis situations.

·       Complete daily clinical progress notes.

·       Collect, calculate, summarize, and graph performance, observational, rating scale, checklist, interview, and/or self-report data when requested.

·       Participate in weekly treatment team to report progress.



·       Pursuing Bachelor's or Master’s Degree and/or with a Bachelor’s degree in special education, social work, counseling, child development, psychology or a related field required

·       Experience preferred in treatment and educational settings with children with multiple disabilities.

·       Experience collecting, summarizing, and graphing data preferred.

·       Basic computer skills preferred.
