Are you looking to jump‑start your accounting or ag‑business career? Want hands‑on experience supporting real farm operations? PIPESTONE is looking for a motivated FarmBooks Accounting Intern to join our team for Summer 2026!

About the Opportunity

Pipestone Business provides financial services to help today’s family farms become the farms of tomorrow. As a FarmBooks Intern, you’ll work directly with our accounting platform and processes to support crop and livestock producers across the region.

What You’ll Do

  • Gain a thorough understanding of general ledger structure
  • Process accounts payable & receivable
  • Handle cash receipts and disbursements
  • Maintain sales and purchase order systems
  • Reconcile asset and liability accounts
  • Analyze general ledger activity for accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist with period-end close for internal and external reporting
  • Travel with your supervisor to work directly with clients

Additional Valuable Skills

(Not required, but definitely a plus!)

  • Knowledge of pork production
  • Familiarity with feed manufacturing
  • Understanding of commodity risk management & livestock marketing
  • Strong data analysis skills

Education & Experience

  • 2‑ or 4‑year degree in Accounting or Agricultural Business preferred (not required)
  • Experience in livestock or crop production is a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Customer service experience helpful
  • Must be detail‑oriented and able to thrive in a team environment

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation to work
