About the Role

First Western Bank & Trust is currently seeking to fill a part-time temporary Intern position in Minot or West Fargo. 

Intern Overview                                                  

Assist with special projects in various departments within the bank. 

  • Assist with various functions to ensure quality customer service 
  • Answer incoming phone calls 
  • Maintain bank records
  • Assist in preparing information and reports
  • Assist in database management 
  • Shadow multiple positions within the bank and train in a variety of tasks
  • Ensure compliance with banking laws, regulations and the Bank’s policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act
  • Maintain continuing education related to regulatory standards
  • Greet visitors and inquire the nature of their business in order to provide customer service
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned with or without notice

 

Intern Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive college credits
  • Knowledge of business concepts

 

Intern Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Highly organized with careful attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize, multitask and work with a variety of people
  • Reliable, responsible, and dependable 
  • Demonstrate professionalism 
  • Computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft programs
