About the Role

1. Internship Topic

Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents to assist Internal Audit teams

 

2. Summary of Job Description

OAG is looking for an intern to build internal audit artificial intelligence (AI) agents that will assist internal audit planning and fieldwork.

The intern will

  • Explore applications of AI by building and delivering proof-of-concept AI audit agents. The AI agents are expected to perform the designated tasks and deliver outputs as follows:
    • deep research functions that will gather and summarize various reports from ADB sites and internet websites, analyzing the reports to create an audit background and initial risk assessment sections of audit planning memorandum in a designated format. This will help internal auditors speed up engagement planning,
    • deep research functions that will summarize various reports provided by OAG and draft initial risk assessments in a designated format by OAG's audit universe items. This will help internal auditors speed up the annual risk assessment exercise for the 3-year work program development, and
    • an automation tool to create and run a Microsoft Autogen AI agent program by gathering inputs from audit teams.
  • The proof-of-concept AI agents may leverage Microsoft Copilot or other Large Language Models that suit the purpose

Duration: 11 weeks

Timing: June 2026 onwards

 

4. Location

ADB Headquarters, Manila, Philippines

 

5. Expected Outcomes

Output:

A proof-of-concept AI agent

Outcomes:

  • Deepen the awareness and understanding of ADB staff on the AI agent and relevant technologies.
  • Assist OAG in determining whether to pursue an official AI agent development based on the current AI technology available in the AI industry.


6. Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in a master's degree program, with specialization in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or other relevant applied science. Preference for specialization in AI or machine learning.

7. Relevant Experience and Other Requirements

  • Knowledge on language models, advanced RAG tools and techniques such as GraphRAG, LangChain and LangGraph, and experience in coding and testing to solve real-world problems.
  • Preferably with 2-3 years relevant professional experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
