About the Role

Company Description

TTP is a technical consultancy that creates innovative solutions to our clients' most complex technical challenges. We work with some of the world’s largest and most successful companies, as well as some of the smallest and most ambitious start-ups. Our designers, engineers and scientists collaborate across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, satcoms and science, to develop new products and technologies that make a real-world impact.

Job Description

A Product Design placement at TTP offers the opportunity to join us for a year and work alongside experienced Product Design and Human Factors consultants on exciting live client and internal projects. You'll gain hands-on, practical experience and develop a deeper understanding of what a career in product development consultancy can look like.

As TTP is a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, you'll work closely with - and learn from - talented designers, engineers and scientists, while also having the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to projects.

You will be based in our Health Tech team, working across a diverse range of projects both within the team and beyond it. You’ll contribute to concept development and visualisation, Human Factors and UX design activities, as well as other stages of the product development process. We're looking for students who are proactive and keen to create their own opportunities within TTP.

About You

  • Studying towards a 1st or 2:1 degree in Product Design or Industrial Design
  • A design portfolio demonstrating an interest in user-centred product development
  • The ability to be creative while also making things work in practice
  • Self-motivated, with the confidence to take initiative, seek out new responsibilities, and work effectively as part of a collaborative team

Please ensure you attach a design portfolio as a PDF and label it with your name - you can do this in the Additional Uploads section.
