About the Role

Your goal

Marktlink Capital is a leading Private Equity & Venture Capital (PE & VC) Fund Manager in the Netherlands, with a team of experienced professionals who combine in-depth expertise with a hands-on approach. With over EUR 3 billion in raised capital and investors in more than 100 PE & VC funds, Marktlink provides access to high-quality investment opportunities for entrepreneurs and private investors.

Within the Capital team, we focus on the establishment, structuring, and management of funds and investment products. As a Legal Intern, you will be part of this team for a period of two to four months. You will support legal activities related to fund formation, investments, and compliance. You will work closely with the General Counsel and collaborate frequently with other teams and departments across the organization.

The team is compact and operates with short communication lines. There is ample opportunity to voice your ideas, take initiative, and approach your work proactively and in a structured manner. The internship takes place at our Amsterdam office for four or five days per week.


Your responsibilities

  • Assisting in the establishment and structuring of new funds and products, such as feeders and fund-of-funds

  • Supporting investment processes and assisting with the legal structuring and documentation thereof

  • Assisting in drafting, reviewing, and updating legal documentation, including fund agreements, PPMs, KIDs, and other contracts

  • Contributing to the legal review of marketing materials and commercial documentation

  • Conducting research on relevant laws and regulations, including AIFMD and other financial regulations, and assessing their impact on existing and new products

  • Supporting the development and updating of internal templates, such as introduction and transfer agreements

  • Assisting in structuring and optimizing legal processes and documentation within the team

  • Supporting the sales and investment teams with legal queries

  • Structuring and drafting legal analyses for ongoing matters


Your profile

  • In the final phase of a Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a Master’s degree, preferably with a focus on corporate law or financial law

  • Strong legal foundation

  • Fluent in Dutch and English

  • Available four or five days per week for a period of two to four months (a longer period is also possible)

  • Interest in financial services, Private Equity, and Venture Capital

  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and hands-on mindset

  • Proactive and able to take initiative

  • Comfortable working in an office environment in the Amsterdam region

  • Thrives in a small team with short communication lines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
