About the Role

Description

Family Tree Farms is seeking a Sales Intern for the 2025 summer season. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fresh produce industry. The Sales Intern will support the sales team with daily tasks, assist in coordinating order fulfillment, and participate in special projects. The role requires attending company events and interacting with internal and external stakeholders.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enter sales orders into company systems.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the sales staff.
  • Coordinate order fulfillment with the shipping department.
  • Perform quality control checks on the shipping dock and assist fruit inspectors.
  • Participate in customer engagement activities, including hosting tours and setting up meetings.

Work Schedule, Travel, and Housing Requirements

  • Internship runs from May/June through August/September, with potential for extension.
  • Work hours vary from 6:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.; flexibility is required.
  • Local travel required; must have a valid driver's license, vehicle, and insurance. Work-related mileage will be reimbursed.
  • Housing is not provided; the intern must secure their own accommodations.

Event Support (Required Availability)

  • Assist with Flavor Tech University.
  • Support customer tours, including early morning preparations.

Special Projects

  • Prepare and distribute customer product samples.
  • Enter and manage data in company databases.
  • Assist with Marketing, Food Safety, and Accounting tasks.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Junior or senior enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and computer skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers and various functional teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in agriculture is a plus but not required.
  • Clean valid drivers license to travel locally as needed.
