Haskell has incredible internship opportunities available with multiple locations focused on mechanical and chemical engineering disciplines. In this internship, you will assist our multi-disciplined project team(s) with assigned tasks and will have many opportunities to grow and develop, both professionally and personally.

 

In this internship, you will participate in training programs and receive training in company management tools, standards, policies & procedures, during the assignment. Additionally, there are fantastic opportunities to network with other interns across the enterprise during scheduled workshops, events and group projects focused on our culture and values.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Will work to improve knowledge about how construction & design teams interact, particularly in mechanical design
  • Perform various tasks, including preparing and monitoring documents; work closely with Process Engineer to prepare designs and resolve issues
  • Participate in project strategy meetings within discipline and gain exposure to design concepts, pricing, and proposal techniques/requirements
  • Participate in design research and other activities as directed
  • Engage with other interns across the enterprise as part of the overall Summer Internship Program
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

  • Pursuit of a Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program
  • Experience with CAD / Revit design software is preferable

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

 

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.

Responsibilities

Responsabilidades del Puesto: • Apoyar en la creación y actualización de diagramas de flujo de procesos (PFDs) y diagramas de tuberías e instrumentación (P&IDs) • Apoyar el desarrollo de cálculos de procesos, incluyendo balances de masa, balances de energía y dimensionamiento de equipos • Realizar investigación sobre equipos, materiales y estándares de la industria • Asistir en la preparación de documentación de ingeniería, reportes y resúmenes técnicos • Apoyar la recopilación de datos, mediciones en campo y observación del desempeño del sistema • Participar en visitas a sitio, recorridos y actividades de apoyo en construcción o instalación • Coordinar con equipos multidisciplinarios, incluidos ingeniería mecánica, eléctrica, civil y de control • Asistir en la comunicación con proveedores y revisión de información técnica • Mantener archivos y documentación del proyecto organizados • Realizar otras funciones asignadas Educación/Experiencia: • Estudiante de Licenciatura en Ingeniería Química, Ingeniería de Procesos, Ingeniería Mecánica o campo relacionado • Haber completado cursos introductorios de ingeniería (requerido) • Experiencia previa en prácticas o proyectos en entornos industriales o de procesos (beneficiosa) Conocimientos, Habilidades, Licencias y Certificaciones: • Conocimiento básico de principios y conceptos de ingeniería de procesos • Familiaridad con AutoCAD, Revit o software de modelado de procesos (preferente) • Fuertes habilidades analíticas, de comunicación y trabajo en equipo • Capacidad para gestionar múltiples tareas y trabajar en un entorno dinámico • Dominio de aplicaciones de Microsoft Office Factores Ambientales y/o Requisitos Físicos: El trabajo es principalmente en oficina con visitas ocasionales a obra. Debe poder caminar, estar de pie y levantar hasta 20 libras según se requiera."


Qualifications

"Dans ce rôle, vous agirez à titre de Stagiaire en génie des procédés, en soutenant la conception, l’analyse, la documentation et la coordination de projets de procédés sous la supervision d’ingénieurs expérimentés. Ce stage offre une exposition pratique aux systèmes industriels et manufacturiers, ainsi qu’une occasion de développer des compétences techniques dans un environnement professionnel. Responsabilités du poste : • Contribuer à la création et à la mise à jour de schémas de procédés (PFD) et de schémas de tuyauterie et d’instrumentation (P&ID) • Appuyer le développement de calculs de procédés, incluant bilans massiques, bilans énergétiques et dimensionnement d’équipement • Effectuer des recherches sur l’équipement, les matériaux et les normes de l’industrie • Aider à la préparation de documentation d’ingénierie, rapports et résumés techniques • Participer à la collecte de données, aux mesures sur le terrain et à l’observation de la performance des systèmes • Participer aux visites de site, inspections et activités de soutien à la construction ou à l’installation • Coordonner avec des équipes multidisciplinaires incluant mécanique, électrique, civil et contrôle • Appuyer la communication avec les fournisseurs et la révision d’information technique • Maintenir une organisation efficace des fichiers et documents du projet • Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe Formation/Expérience : • Étudiant au baccalauréat en génie chimique, génie des procédés, génie mécanique ou domaine connexe • Cours d’introduction en ingénierie complétés (exigé) • Expérience antérieure en stage ou projets dans des environnements industriels ou de procédés (un atout) Connaissances, compétences, permis et certifications : • Connaissance de base des principes et concepts en génie des procédés • Familiarité avec AutoCAD, Revit ou logiciels de modélisation des procédés (souhaitée) • Excellentes compétences analytiques, communication et travail d’équipe • Capacité à gérer plusieurs tâches dans un environnement dynamique • Maîtrise des applications Microsoft Office Facteurs environnementaux et/ou exigences physiques : Le travail est principalement en bureau avec des visites occasionnelles de chantier.
