About the Role:
As a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Intern, you’ll be an integral part of a collaborative, agile team. You’ll design, analyze, and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency and exceed expectations. The internship position reports to the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Analyst and can be based out of our home in Topeka or Overland Park, Kansas. We work a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.

  • Understanding and implementing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery industry principles  
  • Creating stakeholder tutorials and other documentation related to Business Continuity 
  • Understanding and interacting with industry leading Business Continuity Software  
  • Understanding and assisting with risk managed exercises to help the company become more resilient 
  • Reviewing disaster recovery documentation and help establish metrics around the program 
  • Planning and assisting with business impact analysis exercises  

 

What We’re Looking For:
Students eligible for an internship must be current full-time students. Students working during the school year will work approximately 10-19 hours a week.  SB will offer a flexible schedule to allow students to focus on coursework while gaining real work experience during their internship. Students eligible for the summer internship will also be full-time students and available to work up to 40 hours per week.  

 

  • Full-time Student in Business, IT, Public Administration or Management. 
  • Undergraduate or Graduate Student. 
  • A quick learner with motivation to learn more about new technologies combined with good listening skills and detail orientation. 
  • Good communication skills and able to work with a lot of different teams. 
  • Someone who wants hands on experience.
