Job Description

This position will support our Cable Assembly and other assembly areas by performing the following responsibilities:

  • Create and modify cable drawings and technical documentation
  • Work with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Build and assemble electrical test fixtures for cables and related components
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of assembly processes and test results
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and technicians to troubleshoot assembly challenges
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining work areas to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards

 

Qualifications

 

  • Recent degree or current enrollment in an engineering program (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related field)
  • High GPA (3.0 or above preferred)
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to manufacturing environments
  • Strong organizational and communications skills
  • Experience with 2D drawing and drafting using software similar to CorelDraw
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
  • Hands-on experience with assembly, fabrication, or manufacturing processes (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in technical work
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements
  • Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routings (preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with engineers and technicians
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and practices in manufacturing settings
