Job Description

Position Purpose: 

Internships at Veolia: Gain hands-on experience in watershed management field work and data collection/ processing.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with field data collection; water quality, forestry and wildlife.
  • Assist with data processing for projects.
  • Assist with physical maintenance/projects for ecological management and security.
  • Assist with volunteer cleanups events.

Work Environment:

  • Environments vary by internship function from office to field to plant.
  • Our aim is to provide tangible industry job experience to each intern.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background: 

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Working towards a four year degree and you have Junior status in Environmental Science, Biology, or forestry.
  • 3.2 Cumulative G.P.A required.
  • Experience with google sheets.
  • Experience water chemistry analysis.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong communication and analytical skill.
  • Comfortable working on boats, in forests and around wildlife/hazardous and nonhazardous chemicals.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training: 

  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record to travel within company territory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Information

Pay Range: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.
