About the Role
 

Accounting Internship       

Summer 2026

Location:  Holland, MI

Schedule: Full Time; Monday - Friday

(LGESMI) we develop and manufacture lithium-ion batteries that power automotive technology and other energy storage systems. We partner with some of the more recognizable car brands in the world.

 

Job Summary:  As an Accounting intern at LG Energy Solution, you will provide essential accounting support by using professional judgement directly affecting the accuracy of the organization’s financial and operating performance.

 

This position will be responsible for work that includes:

  • Assist accounts payable in verification of vendor invoices, obtaining approvals, coding to appropriate general ledger accounts and verification of credit balance refunds
  • Assist with financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, invoices and other documents
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts; assist in preparing monthly financial statement 
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts as assigned
  • Assist other Accounting/Finance department members (LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. staff) as needed including special projects

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 GPA or higher

 

Skills

  • Requires a working knowledge of GAAP
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
  • Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new task and projects
  • Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining high degree of confidentiality
