We are hiring for our ASCEND program where students can present a capstone project to the CEO/President of the organization at the end of their intern experience. Interns from Acutec have gone on to fulfilling careers both at Acutec and other various Aerospace organizations. Multiple members of Acutec’s management team began working as interns before they graduated from high school or college. An internship with Acutec can be a springboard to success post-graduation!  


This intern will work with skilled leaders in the field.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaboration – The small team environment at this facility ensures engagement, collaboration, and support.  Work with the best of the best: in-house and worldwide experts in tooling, equipment, and software development. 

• Community Engagement – we are focused on being engaged with our community and giving back!  As a part of our team, you will be able to participate in many community service events and make it a priority to make donations to causes and programs our team members are involved with. 

• Interface successfully with assigned teams.

• Assist with the improvement of policies and processes to enhance productivity and eliminate waste.

• Assist with strategic improvement initiatives within the organization to improve key features such as quality, delivery, cost, and safety.

• Assist with day-to-day tasks as well as special projects as assigned

• Successfully complete all assigned trainings including Acutec Culture training and Safety training.

• Work from and follow travelers, shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, customer orders, designated lists, packing slips, and written/verbal instruction to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.

• Verify number of materials or items received or distributed.

• Coordinate with customer service regarding updates, cancellations, and changes.

• Sort and place materials/items on racks, shelves, or in bins.

• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, and place in designated areas.

• Process priority MRO's and hazardous materials.

• Scrutinize every facet of job and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to Supervisor. 

• Requires the use of and ownership of basic tools and various hand tools as specified by departmental tool list.

• Perform housekeeping chores as department requirements dictate.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• We are seeking someone working towards a college degree or high school diploma 


Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Applying basic mathematics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
