About the Role

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Security Operations Field Engineer Intern in our Lyndhurst, NJ, location and New York metropolitan sites. This position is responsible for designing, installing, servicing, and troubleshooting integrated low-voltage systems, including access control, CCTV, intercom, and network, in addition to others. They will also be responsible for programming and configuring multiple security systems.

 

What will you do?

  • Validate hardware and project installations
  • Participate in field audits of installed systems
  • Coordinate with subcontractors on multiple projects
  • Assists in job close-out by providing final record drawings
  • Review and interpret specifications and drawings
  • Material deliveries
  • Other duties may be assigned

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field 
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Word, Excel and Access
  • Strong knowledge of networking and IP concepts
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Knowledge of tool usage including multi-meter a plus
  • Strong project documentation concepts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple
  • demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization.

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $23.00 - $27.00 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and recognition programs.

 

The compensation rate for this position is for candidates located within the United States. Individual pay is determined by several factors including knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
