Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct comprehensive lab tests of failed HDDs to obtain required data for electrical failure analysis
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to summarize test data and develop failure analysis conclusions
  • Perform signal analysis and magnetic analysis on failed HDDs to identify root causes of errors
  • Document findings, observations, and test results in detailed technical reports
  • Assist in FA Lab operation related to analysis tasks.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all test data, experimental results, and analysis findings
  • Utilize laboratory equipment and testing tools under senior engineer supervision to conduct diagnostics and measurements

This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional career by providing the foundational training through a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Physics, Electronics, and Electrical engineering, or Software Engineering or equivalent experience

PREFERRED:

  • Hands-on and teamwork.
  • Programming skills (Python, etc) is optional

SKILLS:

  • Demonstrate a good level of English proficiency (written/verbal)
  • Proficient in Presentation Skills and Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Will be advantage for Programming, Coding, Data analytics or Machine learning.
