About the Role

Objectives of the Position

To support day-to-day activity (documentation and on-site) for Instrumentation department Polymer Dispersion Plant, the task will be focused on Engineering, Maintenance Planning, Preventive Maintenance and Project point of view.

 

Main Tasks

  • Assist in preparing and updating electrical and instrumentation drawings (e.g., wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, hook‑up drawings).
  • Support in specification, selection, and testing of sensors, transmitters, switches, control valves, and other instrumentation devices.
  • Participate in routine and preventive maintenance for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving electrical and control system issues under supervision.
  • Support the calibration and verification of instrumentation devices.
  • Contribute to ongoing E&I projects, including installation, commissioning, and documentation.
  • Assist engineers in conducting site surveys, inspections, and compliance checks.
  • Help prepare project reports, test reports, and commissioning records.
  • Gain exposure to SCADA and DCS systems through supervised tasks.
  • Assist in simple programming, configuration, or logic testing (if applicable).
  • Support system upgrades and control loop tuning activities.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering or any related
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge: SPLC, Field Instruments, Automation knowledge is advantage
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits, instrumentation principles, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar (added advantage).
  • Good communication, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word, Power point and etc.
  • Willing to work at Pasir Gudang.
  • Able to work independently.
