At PowerCo, we are shaping the battery future. Founded by the Volkswagen Group in 2022, PowerCo is a globally operating battery cell manufacturer with a strong commitment to sustainability. The company, headquartered in Salzgitter, is rooted in Europe and is responsible for the development and production of battery cells, as well as the vertical integration of the value chain. PowerCo is currently ramping-up three cell factories with a combined capacity of up to 200 gigawatt-hours per year: Salzgitter in Germany, Valencia in Spain, and St. Thomas in Canada. About the Role
 
Who we are

Our mission has started. We are starting our own battery cell production in Battery Valley in Salzgitter and ramping up our headquarters for global cell production.The Strategy department is responsible for the development and implementation of the global PowerCo strategy. Responsibilities range from strategy development, market intelligence and business development to strategic partner management.

  
 
Your role and key responsibilities
  • Support in planning, preparing, and carrying out political visits and appointments
  • Support in researching stakeholder profiles, political topics and funding programs
  • Support in the preparation and execution of policy and funding analyses
  • Independent management of projects to inform the company about internal and external regulatory requirements for political advocacy and funding topics
  • Support in creating reports and presentations for management
  
 
What you bring to the team
  • Ongoing bachelor’s or master’s studies in the field of economics, social or political sciences or related fields
  • Business fluent in English and very good/good German language skills
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office programs, especially PowerPoint (incl. ThinkCell), Word and Excel
  • High level of independent, solution-oriented, timely‑, and effective work
