About the Role

In this internship, you support strategic logistics initiatives across our global organization. You work within the Global Logistics and Material Management department and contribute to process optimization, system improvements and cross‑functional collaboration. You take responsibility for defined work packages and apply your analytical skills in a practical project environment.

YOUR TASKS

  • You support strategic improvement projects within Global Logistics and Material Management
  • You facilitate an initiative to integrate outbound transport operations into a dedicated software tool
  • You update transport flow diagrams based on documentation and expert interviews
  • You contribute to fit‑gap analyses between operational routines and software capabilities
  • You apply theoretical knowledge in business process management and optimization
  • You take responsibility for defined tasks within a wider strategic project
  • You collaborate with warehouse operations, transport execution and site project teams
  • You prepare structured analyses and documentation to support decision-making

YOUR PROFILE

  • You are an enrolled student in logistics, supply chain management, industrial engineering, business or economics
  • You are ideally available for a 4–6 month internship
  • You have good MS Office skills, especially in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • You bring basic understanding of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • You ideally have first experience with transportation management tools (e.g. SAP TM)
  • You have basic knowledge of project management methodology (predictive or agile)
  • You communicate confidently across levels, departments and cultures
  • You work independently, diligently and with strong attention to detail
  • You are available to work from our Hamburg office on a weekly basis
