About the Role

Description

Job Title: Student Nurse Extern


We are seeking a dedicated Student Nurse Extern to join our team and provide direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse Preceptor. The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled in an approved school of nursing program within the United States, preparing candidates for registered nursing licensure.


**Responsibilities:**

- Provide direct and indirect patient care as per the guidelines mastered in the prospective school of nursing

- Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse Preceptor

- Adhere to the Mississippi Student Nurse Externship Program Guideline

- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care


**Requirements:**

- Currently enrolled in an approved school of nursing program within the United States

- Successfully completed one academic year or two clinical semesters of nursing courses

- Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
