About The Company
Vividion Therapeutics, Inc. is a biotechnology company focused on transforming the future of human health through the creation of highly selective small molecule medicines that drug traditionally inaccessible targets. The company is advancing a broad, diversified pipeline of multiple, selective small molecule therapeutics for highly sought-after disease-causing target proteins in oncology and immunology. The company’s cutting-edge platform was spun out of the labs of Vividion’s scientific founders, a team of experts in chemical biology and synthetic chemistry from The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, CA.
About the Role

Description

Company Overview:

Vividion is a next generation biotechnology company based in San Diego that is leveraging its proprietary chemical proteomics platform to conduct proteome-wide footprinting of drug-protein interactions with unprecedented breadth and precision. Our technology allows us to screen, identify and optimize novel drugs that selectively bind virtually any protein, including proteins previously considered “undruggable”. Our pipeline and emerging programs reflect a matured and productive platform capable of delivering first in class drugs utilizing novel mechanisms of action (allosteric inhibitors, protein-protein interaction inhibitors, functional activators, degraders etc.) against undruggable targets in the oncology and immunology space.

Vividion has been recognized as a Top Workplace by The San Diego Union-Tribune from 2022 to 2025.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Summer Intern to join our Preclinical Pharmacology team. This internship provides opportunities for hands-on exposure to in vivo study execution for drug development programs, including animal handling and dosing techniques, disease model support, study coordination, and sample collection/processing. The intern will contribute to studies that leverage molecular and protein readouts (gene expression and immunoassays) and may support in vivo imaging workflows. The role offers a unique opportunity to learn best practices in study conduct, documentation, and data integrity within a fast-paced research environment culminating in a capstone project and presentation.

All interns will give an end-of-summer presentation on their experience, learnings, and findings in front of peers and select Vividion scientists.

  • Training in sample processing workflows and assay fundamentals (molecular biology and immunological assays).
  • Exposure to imaging workflows and data organization best practices.
  • Mentorship from scientists and extended team.
  • Developing and presentation of a final internship summary deck.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in Biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Immunology, or a related field
  • Strong interest in preclinical research, translational science, and/or drug discovery.
  • Ability to follow protocols, work carefully with attention to detail, and maintain high-quality documentation.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment and communicating clearly.
