Company Overview:

Aisin Drivetrain, Inc. (ADI) is in Crothersville, Indiana and proud to manufacture a wide range of superior products for some of the most dynamic customers in the automotive and heavy equipment industries including Toyota, Lexus, Honda and Mazda. These products include Automatic Transmissions, Power Steering Columns, Electric 4WD Units and Electric Water Pumps.

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Engineering Intern to support initiatives across our machining, assembly and or controls engineering teams. This internship offers practical, real-world experience working with cross-functional teams on product manufacturing, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing process improvements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help troubleshoot issues within the manufacturing processes
  • Assist with the installation, setup and commissioning of new equipment
  • Participate in project launch reviews and engineering change processes
  • Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Assist with creating and updating engineering documentation, drawings, and specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production needs
  • Follow all safety, quality and company procedures.

Compensation:

  • $19.50/hour, 40 hour/week
Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related field)
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and PLC programming (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with any CAD or modeling software
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Ability to operate basic machine shop equipment (Lathe, Mill and Drill Press)
  • Any prior experience with CNC equipment is a plus
