About the Role

The Next League Think Like a Rookie Rotational Internship is an 8-week, curriculum-based program offering hands-on experience within a fast-paced sports technology company. Interns gain exposure to multiple business functions through structured department rotations, develop practical and marketable skills, and contribute to meaningful projects. The program is a hybrid role where it is expected that interns will work out of our NYC office 1-2 days per week.  The program is  designed to help identify and prepare future talent in the sports-tech industry.

Commitment: June 1, 2026 - July 24, 2026 for 30 hours/week at $20/hour

Key Responsibilities

As an Intern, you will be expected to actively engage with team members and drive value through the following activities:

  • Rotational Execution: Complete four 2-week rotations across departments (i.e. Commercial, Strategy, Marketing, Delivery, Live Operations Support, Design, Operations, HR)
  • Project Contribution: Gain hands-on experience by shadowing and actively contributing to key projects within four departments
  • Deliverables Management: Own assigned tasks and deliverables per department learning plans
  • Communication: Maintain clear communication with Departmental and Program Leads and adhere to Next League's professional standards
  • Reflection & Presentation: Conclude each rotation with a short presentation summarizing work and reflecting using the Think Like an Athlete (Train, Compete, Recharge) model. Deliver a final program presentation synthesizing the cross-departmental experience

  • Lunch with an Executive: Opportunity (for NYC-based interns) to have lunch with the CEO of Next League to learn about leadership styles and career paths
  • Social Outing: End of internship social event/celebration

  • An openness to learning new tools, technologies, and methodologies
  • A desire and passion to learn the sports industry
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to remain composed and effective under pressure, particularly during live events or tight production cycles
  • A high degree of integrity and the ability to represent the organization professionally when interacting with internal stakeholders or external partners
