Job Description

Apex is seeking a summer associate to assist in the creation and maintenance of analytical tools that support our operating fleet of wind, solar, and battery projects. This associate will be directly involved in creating and maintaining data pipelines that support our Asset Management division including automating revenue and KPI reporting, using data science to optimize our energy bidding strategies, and creating performance and reliability analyses. The associate will work with data from Financial Systems, site SCADA systems, energy ISO markets, 3rd party forecast vendors. This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world data systems, operating data, market data, and enterprise tools.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree candidate in Data Science, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Business Analytics or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Python
  • Proficiency with SQL
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with Snowflake or equivalent data warehouse

Additional Information

  • The summer associate program will run from June 1 through August 7 but we can be flexible with the start and end dates
  • Hours: Full Time 
  • Type:  Non-Exempt
  • Paid Internship: Undergraduate, $17/Hour; Graduate, $27/Hour
  • Office Location: Our Charlottesville, VA headquarters
