Job Description

Apex is seeking a Project Management intern to support the Construction Team with engineering, procurement, project controls, and construction related tasks. We hire Project Management Interns that are passionate about sustainable clean energy.

Responsibilities:

  • Support crossing agreements and permitting
  • Assist with document control for data rooms and specific projects
  • Assist with project trackers for multiple projects
  • Support Project Managers for assigned projects
  • Assist with the RFP process
  • Assist with editing project contractual documents and exhibits
  • Assist with providing project information for project stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or Graduate student studying engineering or construction management
  • Knowledge of project management concepts preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others
  • Course work or experience in the energy industry; renewable energy experience is ideal
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • High proficiency with Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in utility-scale wind, solar, and storage technology and construction

Additional Information

  • The summer associate program will run from June 1 through August 7 but we can be flexible with the start and end dates
  • Hours: Full Time 
  • Type:  Non-Exempt
  • Paid Internship: Undergraduate, $17/Hour; Graduate, $27/Hour
  • Office Location: Our Charlottesville, VA headquarters
