About the Role

POSITION PURPOSE: 


Performs routine and preventive maintenance and repair to building landscapes, plantings, and lawns to ensure exterior of facilities present a positive appearance to the community. 


DUTIES, SCOPE, RESPONSIBLIITIES & AUTHORITY:  


Performs a wide variety of semi-skilled tasks relating to the appearance of buildings and grounds by performing routine maintenance to flower beds, plantings and landscaped areas. Includes weeding, application of herbicides and pre-emergent; planting and maintenance of annuals and application of mulch to select areas, and removal, and re-planting of areas as necessary. On a scheduled basis, sweeps sidewalks, empties exterior refuse containers, and picks up trash on all bank-owned properties.  Performs routine duties and requested repairs quickly and accurately to display a positive image for the bank and the department.  Responds to service calls promptly to ensure quality customer service.  Establishes a good working relationship with bank employees and bank service companies.  Identifies maintenance/repair needs and performs needed tasks or reports to Landscape Technician and/or Assistant Vice President, Facilities Management.  Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Reports directly to the Landscape Technician.  

 

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS:

 

Must have excellent time management skills. Must be able to accurately estimate completion times to meet established deadlines. Follows oral and written directions in performing duties. A pleasant, courteous and assuring manner is required to ensure quality customer service. Must be capable of climbing and working from ladders, working outdoors in all types of weather conditions, and lifting and carrying heavy objects on a daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Must have a valid drivers license.
