The hourly rate for this position is $18.00/hour This is an Hourly position.


Overview

This internship will be supporting OSF OnCall and OSF Innovation.

The intern hired to this role would split their time between both locations and support the work of both. There may also be work days at MHQ. There are options for hybrid work, but would prioritize in-person. 

 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Marketing Intern is accountable for executing marketing initiatives at the ministry and hospital levels, and serves on regional strategic marketing teams. The Marketing Intern will partner with members of Strategic Marketing, Internal Communications, Media Relations, Digital and Events teams to ensure timely and complete execution of marketing initiatives. The Marketing Intern will provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional and be able to build relationships with internal and external constituents.

 

  • Serves on regional marketing teams and as such is accountable to the Strategic Marketing Director for the region, their OSF Hospital(s), and service line(s).

 

  • Responsible for researching disease/condition-specific information, as well as OSF program/services information, either by phone or in-person interviews, or through on-line research.

 

  • Assists the strategic marketing team with entering new project requests in the intake system, as well as making updates to current/open projects.

 

  • Assists the strategic marketing team with developing and executing campaign-specific marketing plans.

 

  • Assists with building media plans/buys by gathering rates and availability information from local media sources.

 

  • Represents OSF in the local community for special projects, events and agencies. Works with the Events Team to ensure consistency in approach and branding.

 

  • Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials.

 

  • Assists with strategy and data analysis using OSF’s CRM database.

 

  • Monitors competitor marketing materials both on and offline.

 

  • Assists with preparing leadership team presentations.

 

  • Prepares, rewrites and edits content for optimal readability.

 


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current student working towards a Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university, with focus on marketing, advertising, corporate communication, public relations, journalism, or communications disciplines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Other skills/knowledge: 

  • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to manage multiple projects at one.
  • Previous work experience demonstrating strong work ethic, ability to be a self-starter and proactive approach to relationship management. Work experience can include other internships, extracurricular activities and community volunteerism.
