Summary

Under the direction of the Manager of Project Management, the Project Management Intern provides support to the Project Management Team by assisting with different administrative tasks.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

 

  • Assists Project Managers with administration and maintenance of all project documentation, including order entry, purchase order tracking and occasional shipping tracking
  • Provides administrative support related to the delivery of a project in accordance with the schedule

Education and/or Experience

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university. Business, Supply Chain, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related field preferred
  • Currently a sophomore or later status (junior/senior preferred)

 

General Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office required. Excellent Excel skills are a plus
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Time management skills: Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasks
  • Able to work well within a team, as well as work independently on projects
  • Available to work full-time in the summer and preferably part time during the school year 

 

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employee policies and procedures, handbooks, and benefit information. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
