Showroom Intern - Summer

Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Showroom Intern to join our fashion team, working across a portfolio of luxury clients. You’ll gain exposure to some of the industry’s most prestigious brands while collaborating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Learning how to navigate Launchmetrics Fashion GPS (Samples Allocation System) and assist the team with inventorying new samples, returning samples, assisting with collection audits, sample collection clean up on GPS 
  • Merchandising & reconfiguring the Showroom with the team, ideating better ways of access and efficiency throughout the showroom and organizing samples so racks are in a uniformed setting 
  • Assisting the team with packing up samples for shipments, gifting, send-outs, domestic shipments, RTV's, assisting with generating a list for a supply order 
  • Assisting other departments with send outs and samples 
  • You will be given and present an end-of-term Internship Project, on which the PURPLE Team will guide and assist you. This mock activity will support you in building your personal portfolio while helping infuse key learnings and takeaways from across your Internship.



Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Solid understanding of and ongoing interest in beauty, fashion and lifestyle 
  • Skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint 
  • Well-organised, methodical, and efficient, with strong initiative. 
  • Organisational and time management skills with an aptitude for multi-tasking 
  • Good understanding of the social media landscape, current trends and topical influencers 



Intern Payment and Working Hours:

  • This is an unpaid internship. We will provide experience that meets the criteria for academic credit and will complete any paperwork provided by the student to obtain course credit from an accredited academic institution. You must be able to work in office a minimum of 15 hours per week 
  • Please note, this internship is on site with no remote work opportunities.
