Position: Food & Beverage Intern

Program Overview: The Lincoln Center Summer Internship is a paid, 10-week, in-person arts administration internship for NYC undergraduate students passionate about the performing arts. This program cultivates the next generation of leaders in the field by providing on-the-job experience and professional development opportunities.
In the Food & Beverage department, interns will be able to understand the components of running a large-scale business operation by prioritizing guest experience and managing business partnerships. Intern will learn; the basics of F&B operations; how nonprofits secure and maintain professional relationships with vendors; the basics of LC campus logistics; and how to assess the diverse needs of guests through food and beverage services. Interns will support diverse members of the LCPA community and create welcoming environments for all patrons.

What you’ll get to do:
- Be front line staff during Summer for the City events to ensure satisfactory guest experience
- Maintain operations by checking vendors in
- Assess venue space for pre-show set up and post-show break down
- Document any damage done to campus and flag for supervisor
- Schedule coordination for Summer for the City and the guest experience of food and beverage in compliance with FDA regulations and general health laws
- Ensure facilities are maintained throughout the day Checking vendors in

- Monitoring line management
- Ensuring facilities are maintained
- Overall monitoring of the community/supportive environment we built in summer '23
You'll be a great fit if you:
- Are a rising college junior, or senior, or equivalent
- Are based in New York City or the Greater New York region
- Are available 35 hours/week from June 2026 – August 2026
- Are available Friday- Sunday between 3pm-11pm
- Able to be on your feet for long period of times
- Able to push and pull 50lbs and lift 25lbs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Experience with schedule coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Have both a flexible schedule and work ethic
- Have excellent organizational skills
- Identify as both a self-starter and a dynamic team player
- You exemplify leadership, teamwork, organization, innovation, resilience, inclusivity, and enthusiasm
